A 55‑year‑old taxi driver, Mukesh Kumar, died after suffering a heart attack while driving near Halwara airport; his vehicle collided with a divider on the way back to Barnala.

A 55‑year‑old taxi driver, Mukesh Kumar, lost his life on Sunday after a sudden heart attack while driving near the Halwara airport premises in Punjab. The vehicle, unable to control its speed, struck a divider and crashed into the roadside.

Kumar was returning to Barnala after dropping off an officer from the Triad company who was traveling to Delhi. Witnesses reported that the driver was in distress before the collision.

Emergency services arrived promptly, but the driver could not be revived. The local police have taken over the investigation of the incident.

Authorities have urged drivers to monitor their health and take precautions while on the road, especially in high‑traffic areas such as airport vicinities.
