Gurgaon has recorded the highest number of Form 6 applications in Haryana following a phase of high deletions from the electoral rolls. The surge reflects efforts to re-enroll voters after many names were removed.
Form 6 is used to apply for inclusion of a name in the electoral roll. After a period during which many names were deleted from the rolls in Haryana, Gurgaon reported the largest number of such applications in the state.
Officials noted that the increase in Form 6 filings comes as part of routine updates to the voter list, aiming to ensure that eligible citizens are correctly registered.
The trend indicates that residents of Gurgaon are actively responding to the deletion drive by seeking re-enrollment, which could affect voter turnout in upcoming elections.
While the exact figures were not disclosed, the data places Gurgaon ahead of other districts in the state for Form 6 submissions during this period.
