Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi marked the launch of 500 newly built 112-Janrakshak vehicles in a ceremony held at the state’s emergency operations centre.
The vehicles, described as state‑of‑the‑art, are equipped with advanced communication and navigation systems to support the 112 emergency helpline.
Officials said the fleet will be deployed across all districts to ensure faster response times for medical, fire and police emergencies.
The launch is part of the state’s broader effort to modernise emergency services and improve citizen safety.
"This fleet will significantly reduce response delays and save lives," Sanghavi said during the flag‑off.
