Gujarat Launches 101 Annapurna Centres to Serve ₹5 Meals for Labourers

The Gujarat government has announced plans to open 101 new Annapurna Centres for labourers across the state. Each centre will provide a full meal at a cost of ₹5, targeting migrant and local workers. The centres are expected to be situated in major industrial hubs and construction sites, operating during working hours. Officials say the initiative will ease food expenses and improve nutrition for workers, with rollout scheduled over the next 12 months.
