This crackdown on terrorism is a result of the state's effective counter-terrorism strategy. Masood Azhar, the chief of the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, had been planning to carry out attacks in Gujarat. However, the state's ATS has been able to thwart his plans, ensuring the safety of citizens.
