Greater Flamingos Flock to Tamil Nadu's Veeranam Lake

A recent sighting of Greater Flamingos at Veeranam Lake in Tamil Nadu has sparked interest among researchers. The presence of these migratory birds, known to be sensitive to environmental changes, suggests a possible link to alterations in rainfall patterns in the region. Researchers are investigating the connection between the flamingo flock's arrival and recent shifts in weather conditions. Veeranam Lake, a significant wetland ecosystem, provides a suitable habitat for these flamingos, attracting them during their migratory journeys.
