Grandfather and Grandchildren Killed by Bee Swarm While Grazing Cattle in Kajra, Chhindwara

An elderly man and his two grandchildren died after a bee swarm attacked them while they were grazing cattle in the village of Kajra, Newton Chowki area of Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.
Chhindwara district's Newton Chowki region reported a tragic incident on Monday when a swarm of honeybees descended on a group of cattle herders in the village of Kajra. The victims were a senior farmer and his two grandchildren who had gone out to graze their buffaloes.
According to local authorities, the bee swarm entered the grazing area suddenly, stinging the three individuals repeatedly. Emergency services were called, but the severity of the multiple stings led to rapid deterioration of their health, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident has prompted the district administration to issue a warning to farmers about the risks of bee nests near grazing fields and to coordinate with forest officials for the safe removal of wild hives in the region.
Police have registered the case as an accidental death and are investigating whether the swarm was provoked. The community expressed shock and grief, describing the victims as well‑known members of the village.
