Congress state president Govind Dotasra unveiled a comprehensive set of election promises aimed at improving municipal services across Rajasthan’s 309 urban local bodies. The pledges include providing every household with free door‑to‑door waste collection and hiring additional sanitation workers to ensure regular cleaning.
Dotasra also promised to shift many development tasks of municipal corporations to online platforms, allowing residents to track progress and submit requests digitally. He said the move would increase transparency and speed up project completion.
Other commitments involve granting relief on lease rentals and property taxes for commercial establishments, as well as upgrading sewerage and drainage infrastructure to curb water‑logging during monsoons. The announcements were made during a press briefing in Jaipur, signalling the party’s focus on urban governance ahead of the upcoming elections.
