Godrej inaugurated a new unit in Malanpur, Bhind district, with an investment exceeding ₹450 crore, attended by CM Mohan Yadav.
Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district witnessed the inauguration of Godrej's latest manufacturing facility in the industrial hub of Malanpur on Thursday. The plant, built at a cost of more than ₹450 crore, marks the company's biggest investment in the state to date.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presided over the ceremony, highlighting the project's potential to generate substantial employment and spur ancillary industrial activity in the region. He also invoked the blessings of Lord Hanuman, saying the district enjoys divine favor for its development.
The new unit is expected to augment Godrej's production capacity for its consumer goods portfolio, while also contributing to the local economy through direct and indirect job creation. State officials indicated that the project aligns with Madhya Pradesh's broader industrial growth agenda.
Local authorities have pledged support for infrastructure and logistics to ensure smooth operations of the plant, which is slated to become fully operational within the next few months.
