The Goa government has officially notified Dabolim and Mopa airports along with Mormugao Port as tourist places, recognising their significance in the state's tourism landscape.
In a significant move for Goa's tourism sector, the state authorities have officially notified Dabolim Airport, Mopa Airport (Manohar International Airport), and Mormugao Port as tourist places. The notification formally recognises these key transit and port infrastructure points as part of the state's tourism circuit.
Dabolim Airport has long served as Goa's primary gateway for domestic and international tourists. The newer Mopa Airport, inaugurated recently, has been expanding connectivity to the northern parts of the state. Mormugao Port, one of Goa's prominent maritime hubs, also holds historical and economic importance.
By granting tourist place status to these facilities, the administration aims to integrate them more closely into Goa's broader tourism promotion framework.
