Three individuals have been booked by Goa police for orchestrating a fraud that promised employment in Germany, involving a total of Rs 2.5 lakh.
Three suspects were booked by the Goa Police on Thursday for a fraud scheme that promised employment opportunities in Germany.
According to police reports, the accused solicited a total of Rs 2.5 lakh from victims by claiming to secure them jobs abroad. The victims were allegedly misled into paying the amount as a processing fee.
The police have filed charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act. The accused are now in custody pending further investigation.
A spokesperson for the Goa Police said the department will continue to probe the case and cooperate with authorities in Germany if required.
