The Goa government has directed authorities to release six BJP activists who were detained.
The Goa government has issued an order directing the release of six BJP activists who had been detained earlier. The activists were held on undisclosed charges, and no further details have been released by authorities. The directive follows a legal review and is expected to be implemented by local police within the next few days.
The order was announced by a senior government official in a brief statement, emphasizing the need to uphold the rights of political activists. Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to process the release promptly and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
Observers note that this move comes amid ongoing political tensions in the state, but officials have stressed that the decision is purely procedural and not politically motivated.
