The Goa High Court has sought an explanation from the Election Commission after six names were deleted from the state's electoral rolls, asking ‘What is the glitch?’.

The Goa High Court issued a notice to the Election Commission of India seeking clarification on the deletion of six individuals from the state's electoral roll.

In its order the court quoted the phrase “What is the glitch?” indicating concern that the removals might stem from a technical error or procedural lapse. The six names were reportedly removed without prior notice to the affected voters.

The Election Commission has been directed to furnish a detailed response explaining the reasons for the deletions and to outline corrective measures to ensure that eligible voters are not disenfranchised.

The issue arises as Goa prepares for upcoming elections, underscoring the critical need for accurate and up‑to‑date voter lists.
