Bidar District Targets One Million Signatures for 'Go Mata Rashtra Mata' Campaign
Bidar: The 'Go Mata Rashtra Mata' campaign, which demands declaring the cow as the national mother, aims to collect one million signatures from Bidar district, said district coordinator Venkatesh Shali Chidri. He spoke at a meeting held on Monday evening at Saraswati School in the city, providing details about the nationwide signature collection drive scheduled for December 17.
The campaign intends to reach out to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi with public demands. The movement is being conducted extensively across Karnataka under the guidance of state in-charge Ravindrananda Saraswati Maharaj of Rajasthan. Previously, over 100,000 signatures were collected from Bidar, with about 350,000 gathered in July alone. Leaders called for increased participation to achieve the target of one million signatures from the district.
Prominent figures including Golavananda Saraswati Maharaj, C.B. Reddy of Ramakrishna School, and Dhanraj Pandre urged the Hindu community to unite in protecting the cow and endorsing the declaration of the cow as the national mother, raising awareness about this cause.
