The Vice‑Chancellor of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology announced a Rs 28 crore plan to overhaul the campus road network.

Pantnagar, Uttarakhand – The Vice‑Chancellor of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) disclosed a comprehensive road‑network overhaul worth Rs 28 crore. The initiative aims to replace aging pavements, improve drainage and enhance connectivity between academic blocks, hostels and research facilities. Funding for the project will be drawn from the university’s development budget and state‑government grants, with a target completion within the next 18 months. University officials said the upgraded infrastructure will boost safety, reduce travel time for students and staff, and support future expansion plans. The revamp is part of a broader campus‑modernisation drive announced earlier this year.
