Construction of the new council meeting hall for KMC has been halted midway due to a delay in the release of funds, officials said. The delay is expected to postpone the project's completion.
Construction of the new council meeting hall for KMC has been halted midway after the release of funds was delayed by the state government.
KMC officials said the project had reached a critical stage, but the lack of disbursed money has forced a pause in work at the site.
The halt means the hall remains unfinished, with foundations and structural work incomplete. The council has not yet announced a revised completion date.
Officials expect the funds to be released soon, after which construction will resume. The delay could push back the inauguration of the new council hall.
The council is monitoring the situation closely and will update the public once the financial issue is resolved.
