Frontline Magazine probes Swatantra Bhardwaj’s role in BJP’s alleged politics of violence

Frontline Magazine released a feature called “Swatantra Bhardwaj and the BJP’s Politics of Violence”. The article scrutinises the political activities of Swatantra Bhardwaj, a figure associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, in the context of reported incidents of political violence.
The report links Bhardwaj’s actions to a broader pattern that the magazine describes as the BJP’s approach to using force or intimidation to achieve political objectives. It cites specific episodes where party cadres were alleged to have engaged in aggressive tactics.
By placing Bhardwaj’s conduct within this wider narrative, Frontline highlights concerns among analysts about the impact of such strategies on democratic processes and public safety in India.
The piece calls for greater accountability and urges civil society and law‑enforcement agencies to monitor and investigate any unlawful activities linked to political actors.
