Four Trains to Bypass Kota Junction as Redevelopment Works Begin (Sep 29-Oct 18)

From September 29 to October 18, train services through Kota Junction will be altered due to redevelopment work, with four trains rerouted, the Bina‑Kota passenger extended to Saugor, and a nine‑day Puja special schedule.
Kota Junction in Rajasthan will undergo redevelopment work starting on September 29, and the construction is expected to continue until October 18. During this period, Indian Railways has announced temporary changes to train operations that pass through the station.
Four scheduled services will be diverted to bypass Kota entirely, using alternative routes to avoid the construction zone. Passengers of those trains are advised to check revised timetables for exact departure and arrival points.
The Bina‑Kota Passenger train will be truncated, terminating at Saugor (Sogaria) instead of proceeding to Kota. This adjustment ensures that the segment of the route unaffected by the works continues to operate.
In addition, a special Puja service will run for nine consecutive days, offering extra coaches to accommodate increased pilgrim traffic during the festive period.
