Four dead, three injured in SUV‑tempo collision after truck crash in Satara, Maharashtra

A truck collided with an SUV on a Satara highway, after which the SUV struck a tempo, killing four people and injuring three others.
Police officials said that the accident occurred on the Satara-Mahabaleshwar road in the early hours of the day. A truck traveling northward reportedly hit an SUV, causing the SUV to lose control and veer into a tempo that was moving in the opposite lane.
Emergency services reached the scene within minutes and transported the injured to the nearest hospital. Four occupants of the tempo were pronounced dead at the spot, while three others, including the driver of the SUV, were taken for medical treatment.
The local police have opened an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision and to assess any possible traffic violations. The road was temporarily closed for clearance and is expected to reopen later in the day.
