Four people lost their lives in separate road accidents across Bengaluru, officials said.
Bengaluru police confirmed that four fatalities occurred in three distinct road accidents on the city’s busy streets. Each incident involved a separate vehicle and took place at different locations, prompting a rapid response from emergency services.
The victims, whose identities have not been released, died on the spot despite immediate medical assistance. Authorities have launched investigations to determine the exact causes, examining factors such as speed, road conditions and possible traffic rule violations.
Officials urged commuters to exercise caution, especially during peak hours, and reminded drivers to adhere to speed limits and avoid reckless behaviour. Traffic police have increased patrols in the affected areas to prevent further mishaps.
The incidents have added to growing concerns over road safety in Bengaluru, where rapid urbanisation and increasing vehicle numbers have strained existing infrastructure.
The city’s traffic department announced plans to review high‑risk zones and consider additional safety measures, including better signage and stricter enforcement of traffic laws.
