Police from Baligawan police station in Vaishali district reported that a group of four men on a motorcycle shot a young man as he was walking home from Sakar market in Vijaypura village. The victim sustained bullet wounds to both legs and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to the investigating officers, the assailants attempted to rob the victim of approximately ₹2 lakh. When the youth resisted, the attackers opened fire, causing the injuries.
