The collegium has put forward four practising advocates and two serving judicial officers for appointment as judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
The selection panel responsible for high‑court appointments has recommended six candidates for the Chhattisgarh High Court. The list comprises four senior advocates who have been practising in the state’s courts and two judicial officers currently serving in the lower judiciary.
The recommendation, which is now slated for approval by the government, reflects the panel’s effort to balance experience from both the bar and the bench. No individual names or further details have been disclosed publicly.
If approved, the new judges will join the existing bench in Bilaspur, strengthening the court’s capacity to handle the growing docket of civil and criminal matters in the state.
