Former Bharatpur MLA Atar Singh Bhadana was beaten to death with sticks amid a local ‘crasher’ dispute, prompting police investigation.

According to local reports, former Rajasthan legislator Atar Singh Bhadana was found dead after being assaulted with wooden sticks in a dispute that revolved around a ‘crasher’ incident. The attack took place in Bharatpur district, and authorities have launched a criminal investigation to identify the perpetrators.

Bhadana, who represented the Bayana assembly seat, began his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kisan Morcha. In December 2001, he was appointed as the state president of the Rajasthan Kisan Morcha, a position that marked his rise within the party’s farmer‑focused wing.

Police officials said the motive appears linked to a local disagreement over the use of a vehicle ‘crasher’, a matter that escalated into violence. Investigators are collecting statements from witnesses and reviewing any CCTV footage from the area.

The killing has shocked local political circles, with senior party members expressing condolences while urging a swift legal process. The incident underscores rising tensions in rural Rajasthan over land and vehicle‑related conflicts.
