Ashok Gehlot has publicly condemned the Rajasthan administration for its handling of the ongoing drought, demanding an early declaration, farmer aid and fodder supplies for livestock.

Ashok Gehlot, the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, has taken to the public platform to criticize the current administration for its perceived sluggish response to the state's worsening drought conditions. In a statement released earlier today, Gehlot demanded that the government declare a drought emergency promptly and provide immediate relief to farmers affected by water scarcity.

He also highlighted the acute shortage of fodder and water for livestock, urging authorities to expedite the distribution of animal feed and ensure adequate water supplies for cattle and other farm animals. Gehlot’s remarks come amid growing concerns among rural communities about the lack of timely support from the state government.

The former chief minister’s critique was directed specifically at the current government led by Chief Minister Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, whom he accused of failing to act decisively in the face of the crisis. Gehlot’s call for swift action reflects broader discontent among agricultural stakeholders who feel their livelihoods are at risk.

The Rajasthan government has yet to respond to Gehlot’s demands, but the criticism has intensified pressure on officials to accelerate drought relief measures and address the urgent needs of farmers and livestock owners across the state.
