In a surprising political move, former BJP councillors joined a Congress campaign in Mormugao, Goa, signalling a shift in local political dynamics.
Former BJP councillors were seen actively participating in a Congress campaign rally held in the coastal town of Mormugao, Goa.
The rally, organized by the local Congress unit, welcomed the ex‑BJP members who joined the march and spoke to the crowd, underscoring a willingness to collaborate across party lines.
Local Congress leaders expressed their appreciation for the support, noting that the presence of former BJP councillors could broaden the party’s appeal among voters who previously aligned with the opposition.
Political analysts suggest that this development may influence voter sentiment in upcoming elections, as Mormugao remains a key constituency in Goa’s political landscape.
