Food Safety Dept. Samples Meals After Worms Found in Bhopal Girls College Hostel

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – A complaint alleging the presence of earthworms in the meals served at the hostel of the government girls' college in Panchsheel Nagar prompted immediate action from the state Food Safety Department. Residents of the hostel reported spotting the worms while eating, raising concerns about hygiene and food quality.

In response, officials from the department arrived on site, sealed the kitchen area and collected seven separate food samples for laboratory analysis. The samples, taken from different batches of the day's menu, will be examined for microbial contamination and compliance with safety standards.

The department has assured students and parents that the investigation will be thorough and that any lapses in the catering process will be addressed. Results are expected within the standard testing window, after which corrective measures, including possible suspension of the vendor, may be implemented to safeguard student health.
