Candidates in the Nandigram and Rejinagar assembly by‑polls are intensifying their campaigns as the October 6 voting day approaches.
The Election Commission has scheduled by‑polls for the Nandigram and Rejinagar assembly seats in West Bengal on October 6. As the date draws near, candidates and party workers are stepping up door‑to‑door canvassing, public rallies and voter outreach programmes.
Political parties across the spectrum are focusing on local issues such as agricultural distress, infrastructure gaps and employment opportunities to sway the electorate. Campaign teams are also deploying digital tools and social media to reach younger voters in the two constituencies.
Election officials have urged voters to observe the code of conduct and have reminded them of the polling schedule. With the final push underway, the outcome in Nandigram and Rejinagar will be closely watched as an indicator of broader political trends in the state ahead of the next general elections.
