Farmers protest outside Jalandhar's Kingdom Consultant over alleged Canada visa scam

Several farmers assembled outside the premises of Kingdom Consultant in Jalandhar, raising concerns over a purported Canada visa fraud that they say has cost them millions of rupees. The aggrieved parties allege that the consultancy misrepresented its ability to secure Canadian visas, collecting large sums without delivering the promised services.

The protesters staged a dharna demanding a thorough investigation and immediate refunds, while also calling for stricter oversight of visa facilitation agencies. Local authorities were notified, and police presence was reported at the site to maintain order.

Representatives of the farmer group said they will continue the sit‑in until their demands are addressed, urging the state government to intervene and protect vulnerable job‑seekers from similar scams.
