A pickup loaded with explosive material detonated in Agunchha village of Bhilwara district, killing the driver and throwing the vehicle’s engine about ten feet away.
Bhilwara district’s Agunchha village witnessed a violent blast on Saturday when a pickup truck carrying explosive material exploded. The sudden detonation ripped the vehicle apart, killing the driver on the spot.
Witnesses said the explosion was so powerful that the engine was hurled roughly ten feet away from the wreckage, scattering debris across the nearby road. Local residents rushed to the scene, but emergency services arrived after the driver had already succumbed to his injuries.
Police and fire officials have cordoned off the area and are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the source of the explosives and whether any foul play was involved. The incident has prompted calls for stricter monitoring of hazardous material transport in the region.
Authorities have advised nearby villagers to stay clear of the site until it is declared safe, and a team from the district’s disaster management cell has been deployed to assess any further risks.
