Voting at booth 91 of Ward 53 in Alwar was disrupted for about two hours after an EVM malfunctioned. A second machine also faced technical issues before an engineer repaired the equipment.
On the day of the Rajasthan municipal elections, voters arrived at booth 91 in Ward 53 of Alwar to find that the electronic voting machine was not functioning.
The malfunction caused a halt in polling that lasted approximately two hours, leading to frustration among those waiting to cast their votes.
When a backup machine was brought in, it too showed technical problems, further delaying the process.
An engineer was called in and managed to fix both machines, after which voting resumed and the polling continued without further interruption.
