The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Madhya Pradesh launched coordinated raids on the residences and offices of PWD executive engineer Kamal Kishor Singare in Balaghat, Chhindwara and Bhopal. Officials said the operation was part of a broader crackdown on public servants suspected of holding assets disproportionate to their known income.
During the searches, investigators recovered cash, jewellery, land documents and other valuables estimated to exceed ₹11 crore. The amount far surpasses the engineer's declared earnings from his position in the state's Public Works Department.
EOW officials have opened a formal case of disproportionate assets and are conducting a detailed audit of Singare's financial records. The department has not yet disclosed whether any arrests have been made, but the probe is expected to continue over the coming weeks.
Kamal Kishor Singare, who has served as a senior executive engineer in the PWD, has not publicly commented on the allegations. The raid underscores the state government's renewed emphasis on transparency and accountability among its officials.
