The Economic Offences Wing has launched an investigation into the Deputy Police Officer of Kishanganj district for acquiring eleven parcels of land over the past six years, allegedly linked to Ruby's assets and her husband’s holdings.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOU) of Bihar has opened a case against the Deputy Police Officer (DPO) of Kishanganj district following allegations of multiple land acquisitions. Over a period of six years, the officer is accused of purchasing eleven separate plots of land, raising concerns of illicit enrichment.

Investigators have linked the properties to a woman named Ruby and have identified several assets registered in the name of her husband. The probe seeks to determine whether the DPO used his official position to facilitate these purchases and whether any financial improprieties occurred.

This development adds to a series of recent corruption investigations in the state, where authorities are increasingly targeting public officials for alleged misuse of power. The EOU has not disclosed the exact locations of the parcels, citing the ongoing nature of the inquiry.

If sufficient evidence is found, the officer could face disciplinary action and potential criminal charges under Bihar's anti-corruption statutes. The case remains under active investigation.
