The Election Commission has extended the special intensive revision deadline for Haryana voters to 30 September, giving them additional time to verify their voter lists.
The Election Commission of India announced on Thursday that the deadline for the special intensive revision of voter lists in Haryana will now close on 30 September instead of the earlier date.
The extension comes after concerns raised by political parties and civil society groups that the original deadline was too tight for voters to confirm their details.
Under the revised schedule, voters who wish to correct errors or update their information have until the end of September to submit their requests.
