Eight shops looted in Lakshmangarh market, traders demand police patrols

In the early hours of Tuesday, a group of thieves forced open the locks of roughly eight retail outlets in the main market of Lakshmangarh, a town in Rajasthan’s Sikar district. The perpetrators made off with cash and merchandise, and the entire episode was captured on the market’s CCTV system.

Shop owners, alarmed by the coordinated breach, gathered outside the market to voice their concerns. They urged the local police to step up night patrols and to expedite the identification and arrest of the suspects.

Police officials confirmed that the footage is being examined and that a case has been registered. They have promised to increase visibility of law‑enforcement personnel in the area, though no arrests have been reported so far.
