Madhya Pradesh police have detained eight suspects linked to a dubious ₹2.37 crore movement from the bank account of Satya Sanatan Trust.
Police in Madhya Pradesh launched a probe after detecting an irregular transfer of approximately ₹2.37 crore from the bank account of Satya Sanatan Trust. The financial irregularity raised concerns of money laundering and prompted a coordinated investigation by the state’s cyber‑crime and financial crime units.
During the course of the inquiry, law enforcement officials apprehended eight individuals believed to be involved in facilitating or authorising the transaction. The arrests were carried out across multiple locations in the state, and the suspects are currently being interrogated for further details about the source and intended use of the funds.
Senior police spokesperson said the investigation remains ongoing and that additional arrests could follow if more evidence emerges. The case has been forwarded to the district court, where the accused will face charges related to financial fraud and violation of the Prevention of Money‑Laundering Act.
Authorities have also instructed banks to monitor related accounts for any further suspicious activity and have urged the public to report similar anomalies.
