The Enforcement Directorate said a syndicate bribed candidates for the Karnataka Public Service Commission’s veterinary officer exam, providing them with leaked question papers at resorts, leading to several arrests.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) disclosed a large‑scale corruption racket linked to the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). According to the agency, a group of officials and middlemen colluded to supply leaked question papers of the veterinary officer recruitment test to selected candidates.
The investigation found that the beneficiaries were taken to private resorts where they received the confidential material and were coached on answers. Payments were allegedly made in cash, and the scheme was designed to generate proceeds of crime through manipulation of the recruitment process.
Police raids resulted in the arrest of several individuals, including KPSC officials and members of the alleged syndicate. The ED has seized documents, computers and cash, and the case is being forwarded to the court for further prosecution.
The scandal raises concerns about the integrity of state‑run examinations and the need for stricter safeguards. KPSC has announced a review of its examination procedures and promised cooperation with the investigation.
