The Enforcement Directorate raided ten locations across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi that are alleged to be connected with former minister Azam Khan and Jauhar University, as part of a probe into financial irregularities.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out coordinated raids at ten premises spread across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi on Tuesday. The sites are reported to have links with senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Azam Khan as well as the privately‑run Jauhar University, which is based in Rampur, UP.

According to a statement released by the ED, the operations were part of an ongoing investigation into alleged money‑laundering and other financial violations. Officials seized documents, electronic devices and cash, though the exact value of the material recovered has not been disclosed.

Azam Khan, who has faced multiple legal challenges in recent years, has not commented on the raids. Jauhar University, founded in 2015, has also remained silent pending further clarification from the authorities.

The ED has indicated that the raids will continue as it gathers evidence to determine whether any laws have been breached. No arrests were reported at the time of the operation.
