The Economic Times has released a curated list of seven Indian national parks that wildlife enthusiasts should explore, with Kaziranga National Park in Assam featured prominently.
The Economic Times published a travel feature outlining seven national parks across India that are considered essential visits for wildlife lovers. The list includes renowned sanctuaries such as Kaziranga in Assam, known for its population of one‑hundred‑plus rhinoceros, as well as other prominent reserves in different regions.
Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, tops the selection owing to its successful conservation programmes and rich biodiversity. The article notes that the park’s grasslands and wetlands support not only the Indian one‑horned rhinoceros but also tigers, elephants and a variety of bird species.
The remaining six parks span the country's diverse ecosystems, ranging from the Himalayan foothills to the Western Ghats, offering travelers a chance to experience varied flora and fauna. The Economic Times recommends planning visits during the dry season for optimal wildlife sightings and encourages responsible tourism practices.
Travel experts quoted in the piece stress the importance of guided tours and adherence to park regulations to minimise human impact. The guide aims to promote eco‑tourism while highlighting the need for continued protection of these natural heritage sites.
Readers are urged to check official park websites for entry permits, accommodation options and any seasonal restrictions before arranging their trips.
