The Election Commission of India has opened a fresh window for voters in Andhra Pradesh who were omitted from the draft roll, allowing them to submit documents for inclusion before the final electoral roll is published.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a second opportunity for voters in Andhra Pradesh who were excluded from the draft electoral roll. The move comes after concerns were raised that a number of eligible citizens were left out during the initial verification process.

Under the new provision, the excluded voters can now submit the required identity and residence proofs to the designated ECI offices or through online portals. The commission has set a short filing period, after which the submitted documents will be verified before the final roll is frozen.

The decision is expected to strengthen the credibility of the upcoming elections in the state by ensuring that all eligible citizens get a chance to exercise their franchise. Election officials have urged affected voters to act promptly to avoid missing the deadline.
