The EAGLE anti‑narcotics unit busted a suspected drug manufacturing setup hidden within a poultry farm in Maharashtra, seizing chemicals and equipment linked to illicit drug production.
The EAGLE Force, a specialised anti‑narcotics wing, conducted a raid on a poultry farm in Maharashtra after intelligence indicated the presence of a clandestine drug laboratory. Officers entered the premises early morning, discovering a makeshift production area equipped with chemicals, processing tools and packaging material typically used for illicit narcotics.
Investigators confiscated a substantial quantity of precursor chemicals, laboratory glassware, and several kilograms of processed substances believed to be ready for distribution. The raid also yielded documentation that suggested the operation was part of a larger network supplying drugs across the state.
Local police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are pursuing further leads to identify the individuals behind the operation. The EAGLE Force emphasized that such covert drug units, even when hidden in agricultural settings, pose a serious threat to public safety and will be aggressively targeted.
The Maharashtra government praised the swift action of the EAGLE Force, reiterating its commitment to curbing drug trafficking and protecting the agricultural sector from being exploited for illegal activities.
