A dump truck collided with two motorcyclists returning from a birthday celebration in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar on Sunday night, killing one and leaving the other critically injured.
Delhi police said a large dump truck struck two motorcyclists who were heading back from a friend’s birthday party in the Laxmi Nagar neighbourhood on Sunday night. The riders, both in their twenties, were travelling together when the heavy vehicle veered into their lane and hit them head‑on.
The impact proved fatal for one of the bikers, who died instantly at the scene. The second rider sustained severe injuries, including multiple fractures and internal trauma, and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Emergency services arrived within minutes, and the injured motorcyclist was admitted to the intensive care unit for advanced treatment. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision and have sealed the road temporarily while evidence is collected.
