DoT and Madhya Pradesh Sign MoU to Set Up Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Madhya Pradesh state government formally signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Gwalior to launch a dedicated telecom manufacturing zone.

The agreement aims to develop a specialised hub that will bring together equipment makers, component suppliers and ancillary service providers under one campus, thereby strengthening India’s domestic telecom supply chain.

Both parties said the zone will be aligned with national initiatives to boost indigenous manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports, with detailed project plans and timelines to be finalised in the coming weeks.
