A video from a Jharkhand hospital shows a dog dragging a foetus through the premises, prompting police to book eleven individuals in connection with the incident.
A surveillance clip released by local authorities captured a dog moving a foetal tissue across the corridors of a hospital in Jharkhand. The footage, which quickly spread on social media, shows the animal pulling the material on a piece of cloth before exiting the building.
Police officials arrived at the scene after the video went viral and launched an investigation into how the foetus ended up inside the medical facility.
Eleven persons, including hospital staff and security personnel, have been formally booked under sections relating to negligence and violation of medical protocols. The accused are expected to appear before a magistrate later this week.
Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the foetus's mother or the circumstances that led to the incident, but they emphasized that a thorough inquiry will determine any criminal liability.
