Diwali to feature Bhasma Aarti and Abhyanga Snan at Mahakal Temple

The Mahakal Temple has announced that this year's Diwali celebrations will include a Bhasma Aarti, a ritual where sacred ash is offered to the deity. In addition, the idol of Lord Mahakal will receive an Abhyanga Snan, a ceremonial oil bath, followed by the distribution of Anna to the priest and devotees. The temple authorities said the rituals aim to invoke blessings for health and prosperity during the festive season. Devotees are expected to gather in large numbers to witness the ceremonies, which will be conducted according to traditional customs. The event underscores the temple's role as a focal point of religious observance during major Hindu festivals.
