Dhurandhar 2 has secured the highest ever advance bookings recorded by national cinema chains, while the mythological epic Ramayana ranks below it, according to Pinkvilla.
The latest data released by entertainment portal Pinkvilla shows that the upcoming comedy "Dhurandhar 2" has achieved the highest advance ticket sales ever recorded by India's national cinema chains. This milestone places the film at the top of the all-time list, surpassing all previous releases.
In the same ranking, the highly anticipated mythological film "Ramayana" appears further down the chart, indicating that while it enjoys strong interest, it does not match the pre‑release demand generated by Dhurandhar 2.
Industry analysts attribute Dhurandhar 2's record-breaking advance bookings to a combination of star power, aggressive marketing and a growing appetite for franchise comedies among Indian audiences. The data underscores the film's potential to deliver robust box‑office performance once it hits screens.
The rankings, compiled from ticketing data across major multiplex chains, provide a snapshot of current audience preferences ahead of the upcoming release window. Both films are slated for release later this year, and their performance will be closely watched by distributors and exhibitors alike.
Pinkvilla's report does not disclose exact ticket numbers, but the placement of Dhurandhar 2 at No. 1 and Ramayana's lower position highlights a clear hierarchy in pre‑release demand among the two titles.
