The Delhi government has approved a Rs 128‑crore project to construct a new Delhi Transport Corporation headquarters that will include parking facilities for 200 buses.

The Capital’s transport authority is set to receive a dedicated headquarters worth Rs 128 crore. The proposed complex will house administrative offices for the Delhi Transport Corporation and feature a parking yard capable of accommodating up to 200 buses. The project is part of the city’s effort to streamline public‑transport operations and improve infrastructure for its large fleet. Funding for the construction will come from the Delhi government’s budget, and the plan is expected to be executed by the DTC’s engineering division. Once completed, the facility aims to centralise management functions and reduce congestion at existing depots.

The new headquarters will also include modern amenities for staff and a maintenance bay designed to support routine servicing of the bus fleet. Officials have indicated that the design will comply with contemporary safety and environmental standards. Completion timelines have not been disclosed, but the initiative reflects the administration’s focus on upgrading urban transport assets.

Stakeholders anticipate that the consolidated hub will enhance operational efficiency and provide better coordination for the city’s extensive bus network, which serves millions of commuters daily.
