Delhi Police dismantled two fraudulent job placement call centres operating near Shadipur Metro Station, arresting the operators and seizing their equipment.
Delhi Police on Thursday raided two call centres located close to Shadipur Metro Station that were offering job placement services. Investigators found that the centres were operating without any legitimate licensing and were defrauding job seekers by demanding upfront fees.
Police officers seized computers, phones and other equipment used to conduct the operations. Two individuals were taken into custody and are now facing charges under the Indian Penal Code for fraud and illegal employment practices.
The raid was part of a broader crackdown on unregistered job placement agencies in the capital. Authorities urged the public to verify the credentials of any employment service before making payments.
