Delhi police are examining video footage of an assault on their personnel and are preparing to register an FIR under the BNS provisions.
Delhi police announced that they are currently reviewing video recordings that captured an assault on police personnel. The incident, which took place earlier this week, prompted the department to launch an internal investigation.
Officials said the footage is being analysed to identify the perpetrators and ascertain the circumstances of the attack. Preliminary reports indicate that the assault was directed at uniformed officers during a routine patrol.
The police spokesperson added that an FIR will be lodged under the BNS (Bureau of Narcotics and Smuggling) provisions, which carry stringent penalties. The department urged the public to cooperate and share any additional information that could aid the probe.
