Delhi Police have repatriated drug kingpin Navpreet, who was arrested in Turkey for his role in a drug manufacturing operation linked to Afghan narcotics.
Delhi Police have brought back Navpreet, a key figure in a drug manufacturing network, after he was arrested by Turkish authorities. The arrest came as part of a joint effort to dismantle an international drug trafficking ring.
Navpreet was linked to a drug factory that produced narcotics sourced from Afghanistan. The operation was believed to be a major source of illicit drugs entering India.
The repatriation was carried out under a cooperation agreement between India and Turkey, allowing the suspect to be handed over to Indian law‑enforcement agencies for prosecution.
Police officials said the arrest is part of a broader crackdown on organized drug trafficking. Investigations are continuing to trace the network’s remaining links.
The case highlights the transnational nature of drug trafficking and the importance of international cooperation in combating it.
