The man whose voice announces train arrivals on Delhi Metro took his grandson on a memorable first ride, posting the adorable experience online.
A senior voice‑over artist responsible for the daily announcements on Delhi Metro recently took his young grandson on a ride through the capital's rail network. The outing, described as the child's first experience on the metro, was captured in a short video that the man posted on social media, showing the boy's excitement as the train doors opened and closed.
In the clip, the announcer can be seen guiding his grandson, pointing out the familiar voice that greets commuters at each station. He remarked that hearing his own voice echo through the carriage while sharing the moment with his grandson made the ride especially meaningful.
The post quickly garnered positive reactions from netizens, who praised the tender family moment and highlighted the human side of the often‑overlooked voice behind the metro's public address system. No further details about the location or timing of the ride were provided beyond the fact that it occurred on a regular service train.
The voice artist, who has been part of Delhi Metro's communication team for several years, has not disclosed his name publicly, preferring to keep the focus on the shared experience with his grandson.
The video underscores how everyday public services can become personal memories, especially when family members are involved in the behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps the city moving.
